At Southside Victory Church, we couldn’t do what we do without people like you! Whether in Sunday services, weekly ministries, or special events, serving helps create an environment where lives can be transformed. You bring your gifts, build community, and make church possible, all while growing personally and connecting with others.

We recommend choosing no more than two areas to serve so you can enjoy serving while still participating in worship and connecting with your church family.

Areas of Interest

Serving Opportunities on Sundays

Choose one or more areas where you'd like to serve:

Areas of ministry with an asterisk (*) require membership in order to serve.

Café Ministry (coming soon) – Serve coffee, specialty drinks, and warm smiles while helping create a welcoming atmosphere.

Training provided. Leadership team opportunities available.

Serve 1-2x a month for all three services.

Children’s Ministry – Invest in the next generation by helping kids know and love Jesus.

Must attend for at least six months before volunteering and complete application and safety requirements, and attend one Plan to Protect meeting a year. Police check required.

Greeters & Hosts – Be the first friendly face people see! Welcome guests and help them feel at home at the doors and in the sanctuary.

Serve a 1hr shift around your preferred service time 1-2x a month.

Info Centre – Provide general information and sign-up sheets for weekly/monthly events, answer questions, and help newcomers get connected.

Serve a 1hr shift around your preferred service time 1-2x a month.

Heaven’s Download Bookstore – Help equip people with the resources and encouragement they need to grow, step confidently into their identity, and succeed in what God has for them.

Must be willing to familiarize yourself with the resources available in the bookstore. Retail training provided. Serve 1x a month for all three services.

Hospitality – Help care for our Sunday teams by setting out food and refreshments or cleaning up after services.

Serve 1x a month for all three services. Serve by helping with 1st service set up or with cleanup after the 3rd service.

Southside Worship & Tech (S.W.A.T.) – Use your musical and/or technical gifts to help lead others into God’s presence. (Must be available for weeknight practices.)

Ushers – Assist with seating and creating a smooth, distraction-free service experience.

Serve 2hrs around your preferred service time 1-2x a month.

Jr. Ushers - For those aged 14-17. Assist with seating and creating a smooth service experience.

Serve in either the 8:30am & 10:30am once a month, OR twice a month in the 12:30pm service.

Security* (also for Tuesday Night Prayer and Special Events) – Help ensure safety and peace during services and gatherings. Must complete a criminal record check.

Serving Commitment

As a server at Southside, I agree to serve with humility and excellence, honour leadership, and uphold the values of Southside Victory Church.

By signing this form, I commit to clear and timely communication regarding my schedule, including absences and late arrivals for my scheduled serving times. I will inform my leadership team in advance of any absences, notify them if I am running late, and respond to emails, texts, and messages in a timely manner. If I choose to step down from my serving role, I will provide two weeks’ notice.
